The Beachfront Apartment – Herringbone Bathroom Tiles – Portstewart
Set along the coast of Portstewart this project was for a new build, beachfront apartment. Our customer discussed their ideas with our design team who helped provide some experienced knowledge. Therefore, allowing them to incorporate a functional space that would flow with the rest of the house keeping in line with the customer’s vision of a beachy, modern bathroom.
The small format, Harlem blue wall tiles laid in herringbone style behind the vanity unit create a stunning feature wall. The other walls were half tiled in a medium format, white tile to create a fresh, open feel to the overall room. The floor was then tiled in porcelain, Italian wood effect which was laid in a staggered style.
Our customer wanted to create a wet area in this room for a seamless, modern showering space. We used a hexagon taupe mosaic which worked well with the wood effect to tile the wet area floor. We finished this space off with a 10mm glass panel to control the water from the concealed shower.
Their large, modern, wall hung vanity unit with a single countertop basin has an added element of under unit lighting to highlight the additional space underneath. This timeless piece is practical with plenty of storage. Matching a large Cornice mirror in the same fresh white colour along with a large, white acrylic freestanding bath really compliments the bright feel to the room. Also, the wall mounted WC gives the illusion of more space within the room. It implements the modern feel the customer desired.
